How cool is that... Trombone have 7 position...but for a bass trombone it omits the 5th. WHY?
Because ur hand wont be long enough to reach the 6th and the 7th position. Therefore, the 6th and the 7th is played using the trigger. The trigger brings the instrument a perfect 4th lower. If your hand happens to be long, den probably u can stretch 3 inches more as compared to a Tenor trombone. lol...Interesting right... With the trigger the bass trombone can reach a pedal tone of C. Pedal tone is the first note of every position.
And Trombone is an instrument used for funeral in the past...So it was never use in an orchestra until Beethoven introduce it in the orchestra...Interesting right...
