Regarding teaching...
I need to complete 4 hrs of teaching each week. But the thing is, I don even know when there is a sectional or anything. I just say i am free on Friday afternoon initially, but now cant due to lessons.
So every time i turn up on Friday, the whole section becomes like 1/4 section. Somehow the rest died and seem to turn deaf ear on my words.
OK..that's besides the point. I was told to come early...When I reach there on an early Saturday morning, I just do nothing. IF lucky, then teach the secondary 1s marching...etc if not, I don even know why am I even there. My job is to tutor. But I don see that I am given time to do my sectionals. The only time is other days besides Saturday yet not all the members turn up.
I don mind coming early to help. But tell me when and time...etc what's going on.
There was once...during the SYF period, I wanted to teach on Friday. Then no one tell me that there is the BAZAAR flyer event. Luckily I happen to message Clarence Tan about something and he told me that I cant teach that day due to the event. Can you imagine if I were to go down stupidly and just stone there for nothing.
Of course it's everybody's responsibility to check things out whether what's going on.
On the other hand, You don expect the employee to ask the employer whether there is gonna be a meeting this week. But rather it's the employer's job to tell the employees that there is a meeting.
1 more thing, I am not turning up for alumni rehearsal till there's a rehearsal schedule plotted out.
I cannot stand it if i turn up and then the rehearsal just got cancelled.
It's the stupidest thing I ever come across. I am sure there's nothing that sudden or anything that when you reach there, and rehearsal cancelled. I am sure maybe an hour before or watsoever, the news of no rehearsal will be spread to the people involve.
Can you imagine the amount of time you can spend on doing something IF there is no rehearsal.
So now that there is rehearsal, people make a point to do adjustment to their schedule...etc BUT then when WE get there and REHEARSAL cancelled. This is gonna make my blood boil because I could have done my practice in school IF there is no rehearsal. I don mind if the rehearsal is like pathetic. At least, we still carry on...and not cancel when people not enough etc...you can always just sight read piece or practice on concert repertoires...etc. SO many things that i can accomplish if rehearsal is NOT CANCELLED.
